Mere baap pehle aap is a typical priyadarshan prank , I would say about this movie. Priyan started his directional debut and graduation in Malayalam movie and we know what contribution he had given to Malayalam where directors like Adoor gopalakrishnan , Aravindan and shaji Karun had made indelible impressions at the national and international level. The movie though is going strong.

But Genelia's constant calls to Akshaye, though meant to be equally interesting, fall flat; they hardly evoke any mirth."
